Dear Friends,
Yin Yang Themed Triple Birthday Tomorrow!
Please join us tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1st at 9:30am @UUMarin (all classes at 240 Channing Way in San Rafael) for a 75 minute Stop Drop and Dance Triple Birthday class for Aimee Foreman, Kim Lewis and Pam Flores!
They picked a beautifully deep and philosophical YIN YANG theme to match the change of seasons and our community of dancers, so come in your black and white workout outfits!
“The yin and yang philosophy is based on the idea that the universe is made up of two opposing but complementary forces. These forces can be seen in nature, such as in the cycles of day and night and the change of seasons. Yin and yang can be applied to health and wellness, as it can help people understand the interconnected experiences that influence well-being.”
Hope to see you tomorrow!
Boarding for Breast Cancer Fundraiser Saturday!

Happy 50th Birthday Jennifer Moore!
Happy 50th birthday to Jennifer, who only came once before to our Stop Drop and Dance class two weeks ago, but wanted to join again on her actual birthday this past Saturday! Thank you to her sister, Meghan Dasher, and friend, Erin Meyers, for bringing her!
What an honor it was for all of us to be able to shine our love and light onto Jennifer, and she showed courage and trust by coming up to the front during the last song to dance to a routine she didn’t know!
But that doesn’t matter! It’s about allowing ourselves to be SEEN and LOVED! And Jennifer did just that. Happy 50th Birthday Jennifer!
October Schedule
Please make sure to check our calendar and website (always up-to-date) for the latest schedule so that you don't show up when we're not there! Special events such as birthdays, fundraisers, or themed classes are added onto our calendar all the time so don't miss out!
This month, 2 classes are cancelled:
Saturday, October 19th &
Thursday, October 31st (Happy Halloween!)
YOUR birthday is a special day!
Our family attended our first Bat Mitzvah… ever.
My husband and I are 45 years old and never got to experience these events as teenagers.
How lucky are our kids to have at least a handful of these huge parties this year in 7th grade???
Dressing up, renting out a venue, DJ, food, hanging out with your whole class, and a “hype girl” who basically MC’s and does what I do for 13 year olds by leading synchronized dances (plus some group games)!
I had so much fun!
And my favorite part of course was holding hands with strangers in a big circle and doing the Hora, which ended with the whole family being lifted up in chairs in the center of the circle like in the movies!!!
What a special tradition that Jewish families have!
Grateful to experience it for the first time altogether as a family!
Wouldn’t it be beautiful if every 13 year old got to be celebrated like that?
Actually, everyone at any age should be celebrated like that for their birthday (and everyday)! Surrounded by so much love and so much joy.
Don’t you agree?
Love,
Grace
