Learn the Wicked Choreography Saturday!

Over the weekend, my family and I went to the movie theatre to watch "Wicked."  Now I am so inspired that this Saturday, December 7th, please join me for a 30 minute regular Stop Drop and Dance class, followed by a 45 minute "What Is This Feeling?" official choreography session!  Feel free to come to the whole class or only one part!

Don't forget to wear GREEN!

Wicked has been my absolute favorite musical since watching the debut at the San Francisco Curran Theatre in 2003 with the original cast, Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth.  A decade or so later, I watched it for the second time when it returned to San Francisco, and this past October, I brought my girls to the Orpheum Theatre for their first true Broadway theatre experience.

This past weekend was my fourth time watching "Wicked", and I went in with super HIGH expectations.  It did not disappoint.

Because I know the story and have listened to the soundtrack a million times, my soft heart is always struck so deeply from the very first song to the very last song, that I literally cannot stop crying.

Why?

Beyond the outstanding talented cast of actors and musicians, the incredible sets, and the creative storytelling that connected "Wicked" seamlessly as the prequel to the "Wizard of Oz..."

I realize that the themes that are woven into "Wicked," the themes that are tested and challenged in the story, are exactly the core values that I so strongly believe in and feel like I continue to stand for every single day.

Acceptance.
Friendship.
Belonging.
Kindness.
Courage.
Equality.
Identity.
Justice.
Truth.
Love.

In my perfect world, these would be many of the themes that I wish every single person would all agree on.  But in this real world we live in, quite the opposite exists all around, and it hurts my heart.  My takeaway is to continue my journey of finding myself, loving myself, and surrounding myself with GOOD, like knowing all of you.

"Because I knew you,
I have been changed
for good."

- Wicked

Love,

Grace
