Dear Friends,
Join "Jessica and Lisa in Paris" Tomorrow!
Happiest 50th Birthday to Jessica Kissane and 48th Birthday to Lisa Butcher!
Please come and celebrate these two ladies at 9:30am @UUMarin for a 75 minute Stop Drop and Dance class tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29th!
They've done a 90's hip hop theme.
They've done a choose-your-own-Barbie theme.
This year, they're doing a Paris theme!
Wear red, white, or black and bring a French-inspired snack for a community potluck up on the hill right after class!
Everyone is always invited to stay and mingle! Our community potlucks are an opportunity to start a conversation and get to know these wonderful people that you dance next to!
"À demain!" (See you tomorrow!)
Thank you Amy Poirier!
Class is Cancelled on Halloween!
Just a reminder that there will be no Stop Drop and Dance class this Thursday, October 31st because I will be attending my kids' school Halloween parade and assembly!
Don't forget that we have a 75 minute Pure Strength & Stretch class on Wednesdays at 9:30am @UUMarin!
We move mindfully at our own pace and there is no dancing involved =) Bring two heavy/medium sets of dumbbells and a mat, and if you are short on time, you can just do the 45 minute Strength class, or just the 30 minute Stretch! Thank you to Andrea Spencer and Laika Chow for being our on-camera students last week!
All classes are recorded on-demand as part of our membership so that you can access workouts anytime!
Our Epic Stop Drop and Dance-a-thon is BACK!

We are bringing the party back to the same location with a NEW 2025 shirt and a finish line of 45 dances!
Invite your friends and join us for this SERIOUS ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!
Register before January 5th to receive your dance shirt for FREE as part of the ticket price!
(after January 5th, shirts will be on sale separately for $28 until supplies last!)
Thriller!
On Saturday, we tackled Michael Jackson's epic Thriller Dance! Honestly, it takes a solid 3 full classes to learn the whole routine because it's actually quite long and complicated with many "&" counts! We didn't get to the Chorus, but we did our best to cram in "most" of the routine in one hour!
AMAZING job to all the zombies that came to class on Saturday!
It was Lisa Butcher's actual birthday and she was so sweet to bring in extra zombie tattoos and makeup for everyone to get "zombified" if they wanted to!
The funniest thing happened because after we learned the dance and recorded it... of all the songs that Spotify picked to randomly shuffle next... it picked...
FLASHDANCE... What a Feeling!
From Zombies one moment to Zombies leaping and twirling the next... haha!
Kudos also goes out to Angela Hart, who kept her Zombie persona and went to lunch in Fairfax after class (and obviously got a lot of looks!).
Next year... a 3 hour Thriller Class followed by some FLASH(MOB) DANCING around town???
"There is a child in every one of us who is still a trick-or-treater looking for a brightly lit front porch."
- Robert Brault
Today I am finally sitting down to fill out my ballot.
When I showed up to class on Saturday, in full Zombie costume, one of the elders of the church was there because some work was getting done to the roof. He didn't recognize me because of all my makeup and my hair, even though I see him all the time.
When I greeted him and explained that today was my Halloween class, we had a few laughs at my transformation, and then he switched to a more serious note.
"Do you know what's scarier than Halloween?" he asked.
"What?" I replied.
"This election," he responded.
"I never thought that I would be scared for our country because of an election. I am scared that Trump might win again. And I am scared that if Kamala wins, there might be riots and violence afterwards. I never thought our country would be like this."
Please vote.
Please pray.
Please continue to be that child that never stops believing in a world that can have compassion, kindness, and peace.
Love,
Grace
