Dear Friends,
I would love to see you!
If you have not seen our new weekday location at UU Marin, it has plenty of space, ventilation, parking, wifi, privacy, and more! If it's a bit of a trek for you, consider combining class with a trip to the San Rafael Farmer's Market on Thursdays only minutes away, or Costco? Target? Nordstrom Rack? =)
This week we will be at UU Marin, however, for the first week of August, UU Marin has a summer camp planned, so we had to find another venue for just one week:
We will be in the Fairfax Community Church at 2398 Sir Francis Drake Blvd August 3rd, 4th, and 5th!
If you live near Fairfax, please save the date and come visit me! I will be teaching all of our hybrid in-person and live zoom classes on our schedule:
- Tuesday 9:30am Stop Drop And Dance
- Tuesday 10:45am YogaBURN (Power Yoga + core strength - need a mat)
- Wednesday 9:30am HIIT Camp 30/30 (If you like the 20 minute HIIT classes on-demand, this is the same class but 60 minutes for the whole body - need dumbbells and mat - take a look at the hilarious drawing Seran drew after Wednesday's class last week!!!)
- Wednesday 10:45am Gentle Vinyasa Yoga (Slow flow - need a mat)
- Thursday 9:30am Stop Drop And Dance (Bonus 15 minute core/abs - need a mat)
***Saturdays 9:30am Stop Drop And Dance ALWAYS AT 1 THORNDALE DRIVE***

Thank you Marin Magazine!
What an incredible surprise to find out that we were featured in the August 2021 issue of Marin Magazine as a “Survival Story,” written by Lotus Abrams!
And that’s what it really feels like.
Survival.
Some days blow me away, like the Stop Drop and Dance-A-Thon last October where the photo above was taken, and I was reunited with so many beautiful, sweaty, smiling friends.
But other days, like right now when everyone is away traveling (and they should be!), I wonder if I can keep surviving as a small, independent business.
It’s a complete roller coaster of emotions.

But then I have to step back and remind myself… This IS Me. This is so authentically me, that if there’s 1 student or 100, that is enough because I am doing what I truly believe in.
I repeat:
WE ARE ENOUGH.
And we need to tell ourselves that more often, am I right???
Thank you to all of you who have and continue to believe in “The Power With Grace.” Forever humbled and grateful for my community of friends and supporters ❤️
“My business was able to survive during the pandemic, thanks to a loving and loyal community of students that gave me permission to fumble, experiment, fail, share, and try creative solutions. I invested in my own equipment and created a new membership website that allowed students to take my dance, fitness, and yoga classes 3 ways: either live on Zoom from home, in-person and masked on my deck and eventually in outdoor parking lots, or on-demand at their own convenience. As hard as this past year was to keep my business afloat, staying connected with my students and seeing their faces (even on a tiny Zoom square) was physically and mentally healing for us all. I am so grateful for all the silver linings that came out of the pandemic.”

Stay Gold
Anna, pictured on the right in the photo above, sent me several video clips of her relatives...
Dancing together.
On Zoom.
In Wyoming.
What made it even more special was finding out why they were together:
"We were all there clearing out my grandparents house. Clearing out a house sure helps for a great dance studio. It was great sharing your class with my family. Thank you!"
No, thank YOU, Anna.
I am so touched when I hear about YOUR stories.
Your struggles, your celebrations, your journeys...
And to know that we can rise above it all - injuries, insecurities, transitions, loss...
We can rise above IT ALL.
Just keep showing up.
Moving your body.
Interacting with others.
Putting in the work to survive, to heal, to love.
Stay GOLD.
Love,
Grace
