NO CLASSES until February 25th!

February 14, 2025

Dear Friends,

I'm off to ski in Park City!

Many schools are out next week so my family will be flying out to Park City tomorrow!  Snowboarding was one of the main hobbies my husband and I did together before kids, so it is special that my girls are at an age where we don't need lessons anymore and they are able to join us on the slopes.  One of my favorite parts about ski trips is that it requires complete mindfulness, presence and no one has devices out.  Looks like it will be a beautiful week so I am grateful to spend time outdoors in the snow with my family!

(Maybe we should do a ski retreat one year... hmm...)

There will be NO CLASSES from this Saturday, February 15th until next Saturday, February 22nd for winter break!

See you on Tuesday, February 25th!

All previously-live classes from last week are recorded and available on-demand so that even when classes are canceled, you can keep working out!  Members have unlimited access and non-members can purchase on-demand classes a-la-carte.

Happy Birthday Eliza Desch!

Or should we say, “Red Hot SPICE-y Birthday?” with heart balloons to kick around while dancing? Yesterday morning, Eliza chose a cardio-packed hip hop playlist that had us sweaty and steaming up the windows at the church!

Eliza chose the theme of red and our new LOVE disco heart shirts, which was perfect as a Galentine and Valentine celebration as well. Thank you to Erin Meyers for the decorations and Eliza for the headband and glasses accessories!

LOVE the connected hearts in the photo!

We raised over $4500 for MCDS!

On Thursday evening, we were invited to lead a Stop Drop and Dance fundraiser for Marin Country Day School for the second year in a row!  Thank you to hosts Caroline Patience Carolan for organizing the event alongside hosts JoAnn, Julie and Bernidet!

We danced in the multi-purpose room for 50 minutes and it was a perfect glow-in-the-dark party since it was dark outside.  A big thank you goes out to Liza Yee, JoAnn and my daughter Rylee for being the main back-up dancers, although later on more and more students and parents came up to dance too!  After the dancing, the hosts provided pizza, salad, cookies and drinks for mingling and conversation!

Thank you to the 99 ticket sales that were purchased to support Marin Country Day School!

Happy Galentine's and Valentine's Day!

I am so grateful to be surrounded by such truly lovely people.

My family members have loved and supported this crazy, wild, chaotic me since day one and I am grateful they gave me space and permission to be exactly who I am today. My core values, personality and work ethic all stem from a childhood filled with happy memories. They have always been my solid foundation and continue to be there for me, even when I invite them to dance for 3 hours!

I am also blessed to have an extended family made up of kind, compassionate, loving dancers who actually see me the most often and share a common desire to find joy and positivity despite everything life throws at us. This dance community is real, honest and vulnerable and has taught me that the deepest connections only happen when we open our hearts.

YOU are the reason I get through my everyday highs and lows.

When I was choosing this year’s Stop Drop and Dance-A-Thon theme, I felt that LOVE was the answer. Plus a disco ball heart of course!

In a world where love feels like it’s often missing, I am grateful to be surrounded by so much love, kindness, and genuine care.

Happy Valentine’s Day friends!

Love,
Grace
