Class Cancelled Saturday, November 30th
Remember that one of the benefits of a membership is that all our previous classes are recorded and are available on-demand, so even if live classes are cancelled, you can always get a workout from home on our website! Members have unlimited on-demand access and non-members can purchase classes a-la-carte!
We will resume classes on Tuesday, December 3rd for a 75 minute HIP HOP BIRTHDAY CLASS for Laura Williams! Please come dressed in your track suits or hip hop fashion!
$24K Magic for Coleman!
Last Friday we had an incredible DANCE-A-THON for Coleman Elementary with not only the TK through 5th grade students, but also with the teachers, staff and parent community who really showed up with BIG ENERGY!
As a community, they set a goal of raising $20,000 and by Friday morning, they had surpassed their goal and announced they raised $24K!
By the end of the dance-a-thon, they had reached $25,000 and the deadline for the fundraiser ends December 2nd so that amount is still increasing! Our previous largest fundraiser was raising $25,300 for St. Isabella, so congratulations Coleman for setting a new Stop Drop and Dance fundraising record!
A special thank you goes out to a few of the parent volunteer backup dancers who came to Stop Drop and Dance class the day before to learn all the dances, and to the Coleman Elementary PTO including Melinda MacKaben, Tracy Peck Holcomb, Amber Cameron, Tia Lambert, Kalie Grigsby, Tamara Melnick and Liz Hall! So much LOVE for this group of kids, teens, women and grandparents pictured above that showed up two Saturdays ago for our special “APT” by Bruno Mars and Rose choreography session! (APT is a viral dance all over social media!)
A special shoutout goes to Lesley Reidy who brought her daughter, Colette, to class to celebrate her 15th birthday by dancing to her favorite song!
We only had one hour but we could have kept dancing for two for sure! We spent the first 45 minutes breaking down and rehearsing all the movements, then the last 15 minutes was spent trying to record our group and small group "performances." So much fun and such great exercise for the body and BRAIN!
