Dear Friends,
Mark Your Calendars!
Yes! We have ALL our regularly scheduled classes this week! However, please note a few important changes to our live class schedule for the remainder of April:
Tuesday, April 1st, 9:30am @UUMarin
Happy Birthday Andrea Spencer!
Wear YELLOW to welcome in Spring and join us for a sweaty Stop Drop and Dance celebration with Andrea, who is turning 66 years young and is not only graceful and elegant, but also stronger and more powerful than most of us!
Classes Cancelled
Spring Break: April 8-12
Soulshine Bali Retreat: April 26-May 3
I will be traveling to Cabo during Spring Break with my family to celebrate my sister in law's 40th birthday! Then later in April, we have an amazing group of 43 dancers flying to Michael Franti's Soulshine Bali resort for our 3rd Power With Grace retreat!
Thank you for your understanding when regular classes are cancelled. Remember that all our classes are recorded and available on-demand when I am out of town (unlimited access to on-demand classes is included in our PWG Membership!).

Happy SUPERHERO Birthday Barbara!
The old Halloween costumes all came out of the garage costume bins last Tuesday for our birthday Stop Drop and Dance class for Barbara Roberts!
Barbara came as Black Widow and we had everything from Superman/woman, The Incredibles, Catwoman, Kinder Woman (aka Lisa Butcher in her daughter’s old size 5 costume) and Melanie Barti in the perfect “Fight Like A Girl” red cape! Kudos to Lisa Parker and Leslie Dinham for making use of the men’s costumes too and showing off their MUSCLES!
This was the first time Barbara accepted the offer of doing a birthday class and she stayed up front the whole time with a huge smile which made the rest of us so happy!
Our classes are all about the willingness to live life to the fullest! No judgment or criticism or need for perfection - and yes to having fun, facing fears, shining your light, living with gratitude, smiling and laughing, interacting with others and letting yourself be seen and be loved!
Happiest birthday Barbara!

We Raised $5009 for Suneela & People's Action Institute!
Because of all the generous donations towards Suneela Jain's birthday fundraiser this past Saturday, we were able to raise a total of $5009 for the People's Action Institute, an organization whose mission is to "advance a long-term agenda for racial, economic and gender justice by investing in powerful state and local organizations and campaigns that win real change in people’s lives."
Thank you to everyone who was able to join the live class on Saturday either in-person or on Zoom. It was so special to see Suneela joined by her two sons, her husband Chris, her brothers Antone and Felipe, her nephew, her mother Katherine, and friends Gloria, Janna, Lisa, Madeleine, Linda, Erin, Diane and Emily! Together, we are stronger!
"When we create opportunities for others to be heard,
We are more powerful and self-expressed.
And when we create opportunities for others to dance,
We dance with our backs a little straighter."
- a beautiful quote by Suneela

Receive Grace
Our heater has been broken for a week now and it is COLD in our house. And I am the type of person that still wears a blanket around when the heater IS working. So right now, my brain is legitemily, legitimily, legitimitely (what is happening), legitimately frozen.
I am grateful for a roof over my head, a bed to sleep in and a place to call home.
It is midnight and officially April 1st, and in one month (May), I am not certain I can continue renting our current space (UUMarin) on Saturdays. They have been under construction since July and the new campus is almost complete. It is a beautiful renovation upgrading not only the building but the surrounding grounds, and they hope to have more weddings or larger events that need the space Saturday. I am waiting for a definitive answer and am searching for alternatives in the meantime...
I am grateful we will be able to continue renting UUMarin during the weekdays and I am praying for a space to work out for us on Saturdays.
Thank you to all of you who voted for "The Power With Grace," but I did not win this year's 2025 Marin IJ Readers Choice Award for Best Personal Fitness Instructor, an honor I received for the past 2 years. Thank you to all of you who also encouraged me to submit my "Abracadabra dance," but I did not get chosen by Lady Gaga's team to be selected for her fan music video.
I am grateful to continue putting my best effort forward in everything I do and be able to look back at my choices without regrets.
Grace is love that is given to you, and me.
Always.
In our highs, and in our lows.
We are wrapped in Grace.
It is not earned by what we do.
It is not selective by who we are.
Grace is, a genuine gift, that we unbelievably receive.
All we have to do is acknowledge and thank Grace.
For holding our hand.
For healing our hearts.
I am so grateful to receive Grace.
I hope you are, too.
"I do not understand the mystery of grace;
Only that it meets us where we are
And doesn't leave us where it found us."
- Anne Lamott
Gratefully your friend,
Grace
